SSW's Jalisa Sang Wins SEED Award

Our student, Jalisa Sang, is this year's 'Milton and Danae Andrews SEED Award' recipient. 

Jalisa was formally recognized at the University of Minnesota Equity & Diversity Breakfast held November 15, 2023, on campus (where she delivered the 'Student Reflection' speech).

The Andrews SEED Award was created by Milton and Danae Andrews, through the University of Minnesota Foundation, to support students demonstrating commitment equity and diversity through outstanding academic achievement and activism.

Jalisa Sang, a first generation student, is pursuing a double major in family social sciences, and youth studies, and a minor in public health. She's a President's Emerging Scholar, and a University Honors Program student who is looking forward to graduating this spring.
