Biography

John Gwinn, M. Ed is a 2012 graduate of the Youth Development Leadership M.Ed. program. He has a thirty-year career managing out-of-school time and expanded learning programs throughout the Twin Cities in both educational and youth development settings, specifically with at-risk and under-served youth of color. 

He previously worked as the Strategic Projects Director at MIGIZI, an organization that has served the American Indian community of Minneapolis for over 40 years. Before that, he was the founding Executive Director for Phillips Community Television (PCTV), an award-winning youth media program.  He has been a Youth Studies community faculty member since 2014.
