School of Social Work Receives Creating Inclusive Cohorts Grant to Support Diversity Recruitment in its PhD Program
The School of Social Work (SSW) has received a grant to offer six fellowships to incoming Social Work PhD students from under-represented communities as a part of the Creating Inclusive Cohorts (CIC) Training Program.
The program provides financial support to fellowships along with opportunities to attend the unique university-wide Summer Institute bridge program and to participate in mentoring programs.
Each one-year fellowship includes a stipend of $25,000, academic year tuition, subsidized health insurance, and dental care, and the SSW provides funding for an additional 4 years.
Potential students are invited to a “meet the PhD students chat” with current PhD students on November 23rd at 7:00 pm. There are also information sessions on December 2nd and 3rd for more details on the program. See the SSW PhD Program for more details.
Application Deadline: December 11, 2020
