Journal of Family Violence names Lynette M. Renner as editor-in-chief
School of Social Work Professor Lynette M. Renner has been named the incoming editor-in-chief of the Journal of Family Violence (JOFV). JOFV is committed to the dissemination of rigorous research on preventing, ending, and ameliorating all forms of family violence.
Renner has served on the editorial board of the journal for the past four years. She will transition to her new role this year and officially assume responsibility as editor-in-chief in January 2024.
As a professor, Renner’s research centers on intimate partner violence and child maltreatment, with a focus on mental health, parenting, resilience, and help-seeking strategies. She routinely partners with community agencies to build and evaluate programs and practices that reduce violence and strengthen collaborations among healthcare, child welfare, domestic violence, and civil legal service systems.
