Dr. Mimi Choy-Brown Selected for the New Career Excellence Award

School of Social Work Assistant Professor, Dr. Mimi Choy-Brown, has been selected for the CEHD New Career Excellence Award.

All awardees are to be recognized at the Spring Assembly on April 27.

Dr. Choy-Brown received her Ph.D. from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. Her research interests are in the arenas of community mental health services and implementation science. She was part of a team of scholars who recently received a $200,000 research grant from the CEHD.

The New Career Excellence Award recognizes a new CEHD professional “who has demonstrated outstanding and innovative academic work and shows great promise in terms of future contributions to the college and the field.”

Dr. Choy-Brown was nominated for this award by SSW Professor, and Director of Research: Dr. John Bricout.
