Dr. Marti DeLiema, SSW Professor, Shares Testimony with U.S. Senate Committee on Aging

Dr. Marti DeLiema, of the School of Social Work, shared research with and identified trends for the U.S. Senate Committee on Aging last week. The Committee convened to better understand scams carried out against seniors, and to discuss ways to curb future acts of such fraud.

The Hearing, chaired by Senator Bob Casey Jr. of Pennsylvania, aired on C-SPAN and can be viewed in its entirety online.

Dr. DeLiema is a gerontologist whose research focus includes the financial exploitation of the elderly. Prior to joining the faculty at the School of Social Work, DeLiema served as a scholar with the Stanford Center on Longevity.
