Welcome Back Students Mural Event

The Community Builders Committee is hosting a Welcome Back Mural Event for students.
We are rolling out banner paper roll across four long tables in the atrium and providing colorful markers to create a mural. We will have a list of questions to stimulate creativity such as: "What aspirations and intentions do you have for this semester?" or "What hopes and wishes do you have for your fellow students this semester?"
Students will be invited to write their positive messages on the banner, creating a paper mural, and at 4:00, we'll roll up the mural, possibly to bring it back out at the end of the semester. Stop by between classes and add

The University of Minnesota campuses were built on the traditional homelands of the Dakota and Ojibwe, and scores of other Indigenous peoples who have walked on these lands from time immemorial. It is important to acknowledge the peoples on whose land we live, learn, and work as we seek to improve and strengthen our relations with our tribal nations. We also acknowledge that words are not enough. We must ensure that our institution provides support, resources, and programs that increase access to all aspects of higher education for our American Indian students, staff, faculty, and community members.
