From the Desk of Dr. Amy Krentzman
“From The Desk Of” is a new monthly feature, sponsored by the School of Social Work's Community Builder's Committee. What exciting, new, or noteworthy things are coming across people's desks these days?
This month, we bring you:
From The Desk Of Dr. Amy Krentzman:
"What's most exciting on my desk these days are the trainings I'm providing to substance use disorder counselors. I'm teaching them how to use Positive Recovery Journaling, an intervention I developed to support early recovery, with their clients. With thanks to Rachel Whitwam and her extraordinary colleagues at U of M's Clinical and Translational Science Institute, I was encouraged to advertise the study on social media. As a result of this outreach and other inquiries received over the years, we've been able to enroll participants from Minnesota, Singapore, Romania, Canada, South Africa, and the UK. The study is funded by a Grant-in-Aid generously provided by the U of M's Research & Innovation office."
