CEHD Recognizes Outstanding Alumni

The CEHD Distinguished Alumni Awards were held on November 9, 2023.

Our alumna, Ms. Elizabeth Franklin, was among those recognized by the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.

Elizabeth Franklin is the Associate Director of Behavioral Health at CLUES - Comunidades Latinas Unidas En Servicio. She oversees the mental health programs at CLUES, and provides administrative support to programs across the Behavioral Health department. CLUES is Minnesota’s largest Latino-led nonprofit organization, founded in 1981 to ensure the advancement of social and economic equity and wellbeing for Latinos in Minnesota.

Liz has an MSW, and stays connected to the School as a community faculty member. Before joining CLUES in 2017, she worked in therapist and case manager roles at CARE Counseling and the Washburn Center for Children. Liz is fluent in Spanish and lends her expertise to community organizations such as the board of the MACMH IEC (Minnesota Association of Children’s Mental Health).

She has memories of de-stressing at the campus The Raptor Center, and today relaxes by visiting state and national parks, cooking, and knitting.

Congratulations, Liz!
