African American Read-In to be Held February 22, 2024

The National African American Read-In is a groundbreaking effort to encourage communities to read together, centering African American books and authors. It was established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English  — in order to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month.

This year, join us in the Peters Hall atrium, on Thursday, February 22, from 12-2 P.M., to help us host our own African American Read-In. Says Katrina Cisneros: “The plan would be to transform our atrium into a warm living room feel as we have in the past and have African American literature available in space for preview along with a warm meal and community.”
Thank you for saving the date.
