Abbie Shain

Abbie is the founder and principal at Aviva Therapy and Healing, providing capacity building and consulting for social service and social justice organizations. She also works as a contract therapist at LynLake Centers for Wellbeing and the Institute for Integrative Therapeutics and is an adjunct faculty member at Augsburg University. In her professional life, she is a trauma therapist and community organizer with a specialty in gender, sexuality, and religious trauma. Outside of work, she spends as much time outside as possible, loves to be part of radical Jewish community, reading novels and nonfiction, and cooking elaborate colorful meals for family and friends.
