Deb has joined the Practicum Team as a Practicum Coordinator. She will be engaging with our MSW students in the classroom and the community as they engage in Foundation and Specialization Practicum experiences.

      Deb has joined the Practicum Team as a Practicum Coordinator.  She will be engaging with our MSW students in the classroom and the community as they engage in Foundation and Specialization Practicum experiences.  

      Debra Klein is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with youth and families. She graduated with a BA in Peace Studies from the College of St. Benedict in 2001. In her early career, Deb managed programming in Minneapolis and St. Paul focused on intercultural and intergenerational connection, youth development and youth organizing. She earned her MSW from the University of Minnesota School of Social Work in 2011, and has since provided mental health care and supervision in health care settings, with people living with HIV and AIDS, and as a school social worker with a focus in special education and crisis response. Deb engages principles of democratic education and collective healing in her work. Her intention and great joy in social work practice is to connect with others and facilitate growth.
