We warmly welcome our new CEHD Career interns
Will Carlson and Patricia Shannon held a presentation about the process and outcomes of integrated mental health screening during the resettlement of Afghans to Minnesota, in the aftermath of Operation Allies Welcome. This dramatic presentation took place at the Center for Learning Health Systems Science, and was preceded by a similar presentation at International Refugee & Migration Health Conference in August.
Please join the Career Team in welcoming our two graduate student interns – Chieh-Ju “Lucy” Yang (she/her), and Kaitlyn "Kaity" Sharp (she/her). Lucy and Kaity will join CEHD Career Services for the 2024-2025 academic year as we continue to strive toward a community of graduates who are prepared to navigate their career journey and live out their unique definition of success.
Lucy is our inaugural Projects and Administrative Intern. She will learn and apply organizational leadership and human resources development theories and practices to career development; participate in student data and labor market analysis; and support our reporting and evaluation processes.
Kaity is our Career Coach Intern. She will practice conducting individual and group career development sessions to support our undergraduate and graduate students, and recent alumni on internship and job search processes, navigating workplace culture and other topics. She will also assist in developing relevant career readiness content and programming.
Both Career Interns are already part of our CEHD community. Lucy is in the Master of Education in Human Resource Development program. Kaity is a Master of Arts student in Educational Psychology (Counselor Education). She is also a UMN employee, working as a Student Finance Counselor.
Kaity and Lucy will both work with the rest of our Career Team in the Education Sciences Building. You can connect with anyone on our Team at our career events, and through our services and materials to support students as they Explore, Engage and Emerge at various stages of their career journeys.
CONGRATULATIONS!!
