Alison Waid Higgins is an LICSW who has spent the last 10 years working in healthcare across various social work roles.
Graduating from The University of St Thomas in 2015 with a BSW, Alison then moved to Savannah, GA for 1.5 years where she worked as a social worker in TBI case management. After returning to MN, Alison started her MSW program, again at The University of St Thomas, graduating in 2018 as a HEALs scholar and with an Area of Emphasis on Aging. Throughout her MSW program, Alison worked in Skilled Nursing facilities where her passion for healthcare and the older adult population flourished.
Since earning her MSW, Alison has worked in hospital based care, both as a social worker within care management departments and as a clinical palliative care social worker.
