Five SSW Proposals Accepted by Society for Social Work Research
Six members of the research project, Impacts of Neoliberalism on Social Work Practice in Minnesota, have received acceptances from the Society for Social Work Research. All are students or alums of the UMN School of Social Work PhD program.
Dr. Jessica Toft (chair, pictured above), Dr. Molly Calhoun (alum), Dr. Mingyang Zheng (alum), and Ruti Soffer-Elnekave (candidate), Jessica Mendel (student), and Jake Otis (student), will be presenting at the upcoming SSWR conference, to be held in Phoenix, Arizona the second week of January, 2023.
Two of the projects will be presented as oral papers:
Practicing and Resisting Under Neoliberal Pressure: Findings of Working Conditions Survey of Minnesota Social Workers (Toft, Soffer-Elnekave,* Mendel* et al)
Covid-19 Employment Patterns & Protection By Sector: A Statewide Study of Licensed Social Workers (Calhoun,** Soffer-Elnekave,* Otis,* et al)
And three will be presented as posters:
